Docker aims to sweep out cobwebs with 1.5 release - but is it enough?

A halfway-to-milestone release for Docker this week, with the drop of version 1.5 of the container technology. Docker came in for a good deal of flack at the close of last year, with CoreOS going so far as to launch Rocket – a ‘rival’ prototype aimed at simplifying what they claimed had become an “unwieldy” juggernaut of a platform. There’s been some back-peddling on behalf of CoreOS since then, but it’s clear that Docker are keen to respond to any user criticisms. The fruits of this are evident in this latest release, which has evidently been heavily influenced by the community.
