Washington State National Guard Musters for Wildfire Support
By Army Sgt. 1st Class Jason Kriess, Joint Forces Headquarters, Washington National Guard

Nearly 150 Washington National Guardsmen have been activated to support wildland firefighting efforts in the eastern part of the state of Washington.
Army Spc. Nicholas Ehrenheim paints a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter fluorescent pink in preparation for wildfire support, July 31, 2018. The painted sections will make the helicopter stand out from the green background of the forest, helping them remain visible from the ground and air. Ehrenheim is assigned to the Washington Army National Guard’s Bravo Company, 351st Aviation Support Battalion. Washington Army National Guard photo by Sgt. 1st Class Jason Kriess
